Area Activities

Dunnville is located on the lower Grand River near Lake Erie. This town grew in 1829 when a dam was built across the Grand River to provide water for the Welland Canal. This dam acted as a bridge to connect surrounding communities.

During World War II, No.6 Service Flying Training School was in operation which helped to populate more than half of the Dunnville community. Dunnville's Flying Training School is a well-known museum today preserving artifacts and training aircraft. The village of Dunnville was incorporated in 1860 and Dunnville as a town was established in 1900. Dunnville continues to be a quaint picturesque community offering beautiful farmland and fun lakeside activities.
